A mold was made from real fall aster flowers to make these unique silver and gold aster earrings.  They have wonderful detail, are accented with 24K gold and hang from hand forged sterling silver ear wires. A patina has been applied to highlight the  lovely details of the flower.

Details:

Length is 1 1/4 inch, including ear wire, by 3/4 inch wide.

Sterling silver flowers are 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch and made from sterling silver metal clay.

Sterling silver metal clay consists of silver particles and a binder.  After forming, drying, refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .925 sterling silver.
