Tiny maple samaras were pressed into fine silver clay to make this truly unique necklace.  The pendant has been dipped in an oxidizing agent and hand polished to bring out the wonderful details.

Fine silver clay consists of fine silver particles and an organic binder.  After forming, drying and refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver.
