This round fern frond necklace is a lovely gift for nature lovers.  Made from impressing a real fern frond in to fine silver metal clay.  Each one is truly unique since no two leaves are identical.  A patina was applied to highlight the delicate details of the fern frond.

Fine silver metal clay consists of fine silver particles and a binder.  After forming, drying and refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver.
