Small post earring made from the flowers of a dogwood tree.  The pink and white petals one sees is actually the bracts of the flower, which is in the center.  A molds was made of the flower and fine silver clay was impressed to get this perfect detail.  

Details:

Earrings are 1/4 inch round with sterling silver posts. 

Fine silver metal clay consists of fine silver particles and a binder.  After forming, drying, refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver.
