Handmade from impressions of a real ginkgo leaves pressed into fine silver clay. These beautiful earrings hang from hand made sterlings silver ear wires. The earrings were given a darkening patina, and then polished to a satin shine; leaving the patina in the recesses of the ginkgo leaf details allowing it to really stand out.

Length is 1 3/8 inch, including ear wire, by 1/2 inch wide.

Fine silver clay consists of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder.  After forming, drying and refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver. After firing it has been tumbled to bring out the silver shine.  Lastly it has been dipped in an oxidizing agent and the piece has been polished by hand to bring out the beautiful details of the ginkgo leaf.
