These small rectangle earrings are textured with a pattern reminiscent of a sea urchin shell.  They hang from hand forged sterling silver ear wires.

Details:

Length is 1 1/4 inches, including ear wire, by 1/2 inch wide.

Fine silver rectangles are 3/4 inch long by 3/8 inch wide and made from imprinted fine silver clay.

Fine silver metal clay consisted of fine silver particles and a binder.  After forming, drying and refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver.
